The hemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology Centre of Clínica São Vicente was created in 1992. This is a complementary method for invasive cardiology, working closely with the assisting physicians in the diagnosis decision making and the therapeutic treatment of the cardiovascular diseases.  
  
 

We offer 24 hour emergency service and we are accredited with the main health insurance companies in the country. The Hemodynamics Centre is constantly being scientifically updated, by conducting national and international symposiums, accredited as a training centre of the Brazilian Society of Hemodynamics and Interventional Cardiology (Sociedade Brasileira de Hemodinâmica e Cardiologia Intervencionista – SBHCI).

The diagnostic and therapeutic procedures offered are:

- Peripheral and cerebral arteriographies
- Coronary, peripheral and carotid angioplasties
- Stent implants
- Atherectomies
- Aortic valvuloplasty– mitral – pulmonar – tricuspid
- Percutaneous treatment of cogenital cardiopathies
- Pacemaker implant
- Endovascular treatment of intracerebral and aorta aneurisms
- Aneurysms and tumour embolisations

The centre is equipped with a HICOR-Siemens angiographic system with all records stored on a CD-ROM and the data is analysed through quantitative angiography. We also have auxiliary equipment such as the intracoronary ultra sound, capable of showing tomographic images of the coronary arteries allowing a more reliable evaluation of the diagnosis and treatment of the obstructive lesions (stenosis) in the coronary arteries.
