- Bibliographic Commutation
Through bibliographic commutation (COMUT, BIREME and others), the Library offers access to complete technical-scientific documents, both national and from abroad. The user must have the following information: name of the author, title of the article, title of the journal, year, volume, number/issue, month, initial and end page (the underlined information is mandatory).
- Bibliographic and Scientific Research
The user can work alone on site or request the service using healthcare data bases such as LILACS, MEDLINE, COCHRANE, SCIELO, FREE MEDICAL JOURNALS among others.
- Standardization of the scientific papers
In accordance with the ABNT technical standards and the VANCOUVER uniform requirements.
- Orientation to seek information
Training users to use the collection, computer, search engines and data bases.
- Disseminating current summaries
This service is offered free of charge to physicians and nurses - from Clínica São Vicente and other hospitals and schools - who wish to receive, by email, a bulletin with a summary of some of the most important scientific journals. The full text can also be obtained from the library.
- Free online scientific articles
Apart from the journals in the library, the researcher can access over 2000 complete journals online.
A copying service is available to the researchers, in observing the Copyright Laws.
Direct research in the library, inside the CEGEL (Genival Londres Study and Research Centre)
The professionals registered at Clínica São Vicente can borrow three publications at the same time. The publications must be returned 15 days after being borrowed and can be renewed up to two times. The journals can not be removed from the Library.
